I have a work laptop and want to use it at home. Unfortunately it has been set up to only use the proxy server at work and the internet options under tools is greyed out. Is there a way of enabling this so as to use my home broadband connection?

Thanks for any help

If your company's IT department set it up that way it is probably due to a company policy.

If the computer belongs to them so does all data on it, and the reason they prevent internet connections they can't monitor is because you caould sent their proprietary data to others or a hacker could get into your computer while online.

You might be risking your job circumventing their policies.
