I just recently joined the world of fitbitters by getting a Fitbit Zip Activity Tracker. I have used it for the 3 days ive had it now and I think they are awesome. I was just wondering what other people here at Bleeping computer think of them and how many people here have used a Fitbit Product. I also think they are a great piece of technology they keep track of how active you are by counting steps through out the day as long as you wear it. some even monitor your sleep and heart rate and calories burned and distance.

Science Says FitBit Is a Joke

Your smartphone is much more accurate and consistent than wearable devices.

hmm I don't know about that. A lot of smartphones are too big to fit in a pocket. Anyhow you need a computer or a phone to sync the data anyways. Also any device is not 100% accurate all of the time anyways.

I've never used anything like that, but they sound cool; FitBits seem to be all the rage right now. My results would probably be a bit depressing to look at (currently).

@Atomic77

from your post I gather that your not a very active person.

Presently I don't get enough exercise to justify using the word exercise when describing the amount of exercise I get. I'm hoping to have more time this summer to be out doing things, as I could also use some sunlight (the radiation, not the soap).

My Wife uses a FitBit and has for years. She had an older style one that fell off her wrist because the clasp wasn't the greatest and lost it. The company replaced it for free. I hardly ever see her without it.

Respectfully,
