Windows 10

I have run rkill

details below...

I've also run

I ran sfc /scannow - Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Now I'm attempting to run malwarebytes but the pc seems to be locked when the scan is on "Scanning startup files"

I thought this was an update issue.  Perhaps it is a virus.  I have fixed windows update and it has all the latest updates.

I've managed to get the PC to come up after a clean boot.  But, It stops after a short time.

I ran Rkill to see if there were any nastiness.

Thank you for your reply.  I had to get this PC up and running so I bought a new hard drive and reloaded windows and programs. The issue must have been hardware since a CHKDSK came back with errors that could not be fixed.

Thanks for your help.
