I have installed and reinstalled from a clean USB both windows 7 home premium and now windows 10 and every time usually while I'm on the Toshiba web site downloading drivers I knotice system attributes will change with out me enacting change. Also while rebooting to complete update installations things like windows defender will get switched off and upon inspection of my file system via explorer new users have been added and are locked. Group policys have been changed and new virtual drives are added and I can't delete them.I know the registry has been amended to allow regeration of what ever is in my system despite wiping and reformatting my computer. Currently I am using my android to access this website while my laptop sits with recovery cmd prompt open and win 10 installation USB key in the compute. Also my DVD CD drive has been anaxed and has multi card reader drivers attached to it. Sorry for the long winded explanation but I am frustrated to no end I just want my system back for me to use.

Hello,

did you perform a custom installation? Deleted all partitions, only free space remaining?

I used diskpart to clean the HDD then attempted to reformat for win10 fresh install but disk part ran into an error and aborted the format.

Hello,

try a custom installation of Windows 10 and delete all partitons during setup. You don't have to format any partition. Setup automatically uses the free disk space.

Hi there,

I doubt your recovery partition is infected. What makes you think there are malicious activity on the computer?

Well for starters my CD DVD drive is automatically converted into a virtual drive using a multicard reader driver instead of a DVD driver and I have no ability to change it back or regain control of it everything I have tried has immediately be thwarted. Secondly when I use the recovery console there are an eff tonne of weird files like DLLs and .exe that according to Google belong to windows server and win nt or win 98 os. Which I have never owned or used ever. I hope this sheds a lil more light on my dilemma let me know what you think. I know a fair bit about computers and I am fairly confident that the above described is not standard.

Can you describe why in details? Malware do not change the type of hardware since they have no use for that.

Secondly when I use the recovery console there are an eff tonne of weird files like DLLs and .exe that according to Google belong to windows server and win nt or win 98 os.

Do you mean the Recovery Environment? Where do you see the files, and which files do you see? Some files are the "staple" of Windows so to speak, and generally remain the same across most versions of Windows.
