I have a video clip which I would like to isolate the audio in, and save it as a file.
It was recommened to me to try using the program Audacity. I tried doing so and got close to my goal (I think). When I imported the file it played it back as audio only and I assume I could have saved it. However, the audio was filled with pops and hisses that effectively ruined it.

So, is there any other way to go about this or possibly some settings I could change in Audacity?

Thanks in advance!

Hi NMajik, welcome to BC.
Audacity has a noise removal tool in the effects menu and you could also use the wave editor.
Unfortunetly it's time consuming and you'll never get "all" the noise out anyways.
If this movie's audio plays normally (without noise) while watching it on your computer, I have a very small program that is no longer available that will record directly from your sound card and save it as a .wav file in the folder of your choice. It never fails. If you would like it, PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you with a brief explanation on how to use it.
