I'll go back to the beginning of time and tell Adam not to eat that apple. :hysterical:

I'd go back about 6,000 years, and build an exact copy of Stonehenge, somewhere on Antarctica, Greenland, or the Himalayas.

I could then return to the present to watch all the archaeologists scratch their heads, when I plant the "rumour" of it's location.   :alien2:

Has anyone thought of going back just a decade or so, putting some money in a bank account, withdrawing it in the present then going back in time to invest the increased sum? Just make sure to stop before this brings down the currency's value too much, in the end you want to end up with money you can actually use.

I would like to go back to March 15, 44 BC and tell Julius Caesar to never mind that request from the Senate to hear some petition. Take the day off, instead.

I'd go back to 2012, and try to talk Craig Charles out of filming series X of Red Dwarf.

If I'm being practical:

2016. I only need to go back to last friday so I can buy a lotto ticket with the winning numbers.

If I'm acting from the heart:

0. So I can see how it all begins. Of course in doing so I'd probably die instantly. :(

Post #4: Would the world today be better if caesar had not died that day? Who can possibly tell, what course might the roman empire have taken had he lived? What effect would this have on later history? Count the variables involved, now try to predict what even a minor change could do some 2000 years down the line...

Good question. Caesar died with plans for the conquests of both Parthia and Germania on his desk. If anyone could have pulled that off it was him. Who knows what might have been had he accomplished that?

I would go back to 1977 the year I was born so I could see what the world was like back then.

Somewhere between 1985 and 1990. My childhood was pretty cute. Would live it again.

Nov 5, 1955 so I could help Doc and Marty...

Oh, wait, you meant real life...

[Edited because I thought of a funnier one...]

Back to the minute of my birth so I could smack the doctor right back

And upon returning to the present, I'd go back again to the same minute and take a picture..just to be silly.

Hopefully having 3 versions of me in the same time and space doesn't result in a visit from Starfleet Temporal Affairs.
