I'm running Win7 HP x64, and up until the latest releases, I've always used the 64bit versions of Java SE.

8u71 installed and ran perfectly on my system.  When I saw there was an update, I attempted to install both u74 and u73 x64 versions, and after the standard double click, they just hang, nothing happens.  In task manager two processes appear (sorry, I am not at home so can't give the specifics), but, nothing happens beyond that.

If I kill those processes, I can successfully install 8u71 x64 again, and 8u74 586 (I did not try 8u73 586).

What might be preventing me from updating to the current version of x64 Java JRE?
