Data recovery

Hi which are the best data recovery tools, free ones if possible, if som,ething was deleted on a HD what tools might get it back

First Stop using the Drive , eg: writing Data etc.


You can try Free -  Recuva from     http://www.piriform.com/recuva


I have had good success using it so try that first.


Do not save found files to the same drive , best bet is to remove the drive and slave it to another PC and install Recuva on that .

If you cant do that , save them to a USB Stick from that computer.
