My dad has a computer with Windows 10 installed on it.  He has been having an issue with one of his printers.

He supposedly deleted the printer using the Windows 10 Printers & Scanners page.  It is gone from there and from the Devices and Printers page under the "old"
Control Panel interface.  It has not been computer removed, however.  It still shows up when one goes to printer from MS Word (underneath is states "Error - Delete - Offline: 2 documents waiting).  And the port that it was using (it is a network printer) still is being showed as used when I use another printer to look at the ports.  If I tried to remove that port, I get the following message: "The requested resource is in use".

And if I try to install that printer again, it will install with the same name but with "(Copy 1)" added to the name.

In other words, it seems like the printer is kind of deleted but not completely.  And I don't know where I would need to go to complete the deletion process.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Never mind. I somehow emptied out the spooler (don't know if was due to deleting files in the spool folder or just a number of reboots...both happened) and that seemed to solve it.
