Hi,

My computer has been acting slow (ish) lately and today I had a BSOD. This isn't the first one but they are very infrequent . Also there has be a window flashing by randomly (too fast to recognize anything). This has only been the past week or so.

Started at Major Geeks by reading (and reading, and reading) the requirements to post a Hijack This report but I don't think it's any kind of Bad Ware.

I'm following all the instructions here and hope to resolve any bsod issues.

Win 7, x64 DellM4600 Laptop

Orig 7 OEM

Purchased 2/2/2012

Cpu i7

AMD (AYI) FirePro M5950 (FireGL) Mobility Pro Graphics

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.

These devices have problems in Device Manager:

Dell Wireless 375 Bluetooth Module    USB\VID_413C&PID_8187\642737865A84    This device is disabled.
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter    {5D624F94-8850-40C3-A3FA-A4FD2080BAF3}\VWIFIMP\5&3366E577&0&01    This device is disabled.
Not Available    ACPI\SMO8800\1    The drivers for this device are not installed.

Please enable the disabled devices and update their drivers to the latest, W7 compatible version.

The ACPI\SMO8800 device is the hard drive free fall sensor - it will be available at the Dell support website for your system.

Please install it immediately.

Finally, on a hunch, please uninstall MalwareBytes.  I've been suspecting a conflict between MalwareBytes and BitDefender 2016 for a while now (actually I tend to think it's BitDefender, but it's easier to remove MalwareBytes in order to test it).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hi, appreciate your help.

Win 7 100% up to date.

Uninstalled MB

Enabled   <Dell Wireless 375 Bluetooth Module    USB\VID_413C&PID_8187\642737865A84    This device is disabled.>
Enabled   <Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter    {5D624F94-8850-40C3-A3FA-A4FD2080BAF3}\VWIFIMP\5&3366E577&0&01    This device is disabled.>
Not able to find   <Not Available    ACPI\SMO8800\1    The drivers for this device are not installed.>

My laptop is never moved, It sits in a docking station.

Found this on my product support page but my model number is not listed:

ST Microelectronics Free Fall Sensor Driver View details

DRVR_WIN_R309372.EXE | Update Package for Microsoft® Windows® (11 MB)

Dell search for 'pbadrv' : no results found. Carrona links just send me back to my product support page at DELL.

I've reviewed all available updates for my computer and don't see 'pbadrv'

Should any of the updates at Dell be installed? There are quite a few.

downloaded driver for <NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Drive>

RapportCerberus64_1507079.sys is from a financial institution and I will try to get it up dated.

Marc

Install the ST Microelectronics Free Fall Sensor Driver

pbadrv - uninstall the program associated with it.I

f unable to figure it out, we can manually remove it.

But, I don't think that it's critical enough for us tor us to remove it right now.

Ensure that you've installed the drivers for the NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver.
This is a critical update for those experiencing BSOD's

Then we wait to see if the BSOD's return.........
