My Toshiba laptop is not showing restore points, except for the ones I put in manually, and now there is only one restore point. Under Configure System Restore, System Protection is on, under Configure Turn on System Protection is checked and Maximum Usage is set at 50%. How do I get it to save more restore points? Thank you. Anna Ruth

Set the System Protection to its maximum setting and see if this resolves this.  If it doesn't, there are other things to look into.

Windows 8 and 10 seem to create less restore points than 7 and earlier did.  Usually they will create one when there are major updates, but there haven't been that many updates in the last few weeks.  As you're aware, you can always create some yourself, and I am a huge advocate of periodic full system backups to an external hard drive.

 Good luck.

Make regular full system backups or you'll be sorry sooner or later.
