Hi everybody....

 

How can i share files on two window machines over the same network?.

Are they on a workgroup or domain?

Because they are on a domain you will have to set that up on the domain controller.  Here is a good article that explains how to do this.

You can also share a folder on your PC.Here is an article from MS on how to do that: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770880.aspx

 

If you are on a business network, you should check with your system administrator to see how they would like you to setup the share. They can be helpful especially If this is sensitive information that you don't want everyone on the network to see.

 

 

Once the share is setup, a drive map can be setup to the share for easy access: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-shortcut-map-network-drive#1TC=windows-7
