I am resisting Windows 10 because I object to the liberties that Microsoft forces on me if I want to use WIndows.  I bought a new computer recently with Windows 10 and was going to downgrade to Windows 7 (my computer at work is W7.)  However after speaking with a computer technician, he said that Microsoft is going to continue their aggressive campaign to switch over to 10 and if my major concern is the privacy issues, he suggested I download a free program called Spybot Anti-Beacon.  He says to stops ALL messages home.  After reading a few articles here about the user agreements, I had the impression that I could disable a lot of them but not all.

Does anybody have experience with this program?

I couldn't find any user information on this program, but it does appear that it has to be started with each boot.  I added it to my startup folder.  Right?
