Hello guys,

I just installed Windows 10 on my old Windows Vista system. I installed a new hard disk and install Windows 10 from a CD this was not an upgrade. Needless to say I am thinking, is it worth it???

I found out that my Photoshop Windows 10 don't like it because it is an old version, ok, I guess I can live with that. But now Outlook 2007 will not send any emails... I tried using the sfc /scannow command it didn't find any error's. I can receive my emails but it will not send.

I know I have my setting correctly because I looked at my old setting from by previous install and they are the same. I took that setting and install Mozilla Thunderbird and it worked fine. With the same setting. I also check I do have the latest updates for Outlook Service pack 3 installed.

Any help would be great.

I would post this over in the Software ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/78/software/ ) or the Internet & Networking ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/77/internet-networking/ )

AFAIK, Office 2007 applications are compatible with Windows 10 and should run just fine as they are.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I know Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird work fine with Windows 10.  I have Office 2007 installed but don't use Outlook.  I can tell you that I use Word 2007 a whole lot and Excel 2007 occasionally without any problems.  There are a plethora of updates to Office 2007, so I'd install all of them and then see how it works.

 Good luck.

Make regular full system backups or you'll be sorry sooner or later.
