With the help of MalwareBytes, I was able to get the browsers on a family member's infected computer to stop using a SafeSear.ch home page, but the combo search/address bar in browsers is still hijacked, and I it won't let me clean it up manually, insisting that the rogue search is "enforced by the administrator."

Can anyone please help? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Thank you, nasdaq! That seems to have fixed it. The combo box in all browsers now works as expected, and the rogue search engine is no longer found in the search engines list in Chrome settings.

As requested, I'm attaching logs to this message. There are two FRST logs because it crashed the first time, and I was unsure whether you needed to see the results of the first, incomplete run.

Thank you again for your help!
