I currently have a Radeon 7970 but it's on its way out and I think I'm out of the warranty period. I want to but a new card but not sure which one. Which would be the best gaming card for around 200-250$ CDN?

I recently picked up a sapphire R9 380 nitro from newegg for a little over $200, and I am very pleased with it. Draws a little more power then a single 4890 (which is what I was replacing, well, I was replacing two but you know lol)

The 1010 ghz core clock, 5800 mhz memory clock and 4 gigs of video memory makes a very solid performer for the price. Granted that's in US dollars, I'm not 100% on how much it would be in Canadian or on its availability offhand.

I agree with the r9 380 suggestion - it's a solid card and not too expensive either.

Proud system builder, modder, and watercooler.
