Dropbox can't startup, can't uninstall

Hello everyone, again.

I am a long time user of dropbox on my android devices and wanted to have it up and running on my PC too.


Point is, I can't get it to start.


I'm attaching the screenshot of the problem.


I've tried "Run as admin", I tried to empty app data and temp folders, also to uninstall (but it gets stuck in about 90%).


Any ideas would be helpful!

This fix found on a thread at Dropbox worked for me:

On Windows 7 I fixed this by going into regedit.


In here there were 3 keys ks, ks1, ks2 that had permissions of old Domain profile user.  I right clicked each of these and went into the permissions and added my new local user to them with full access. 

After that dropbox began to work as normal.

Hope this helps someone else.
