Hello,

Still trying to find my feet around here.  I haven't done the forum thing for quite a while, and I was unclear on whether there is a selection of stock images for profile avatars/photos here on the site or if everyone needs to upload one of their own?  I did search around the forums (here) in general but am I missing something?

Thanks in advance, and I appreciate any help getting up to speed.

There is no set of stock images for avatars.

You will have to find an image you wish to use.

You can browse your system and upload an image OR import a photo from a URL.

If the image is to large, you will need to resize it.

Thanks!

I'll have to see what I can find.  Might try making one in GIMP.  Not a really big deal, just wanted to personalize a little :thumbup2:.

Nice! True enough raw!

I'm actually trying to find an image of the red bat symbol from the door of the car in question, but I'm unclear on whether I would save it to my machine and then upload, or link from somewhere else.  I've been checking out the site and I found a few references to not using anything copywritten, and I just don't want to cause any problems.

The more I research, the more I realize how out of step I am with all this .

Interesting read, some of which I was familiar with already.

Still deciding on the avatar thing, now I can't make up my mind (Bat-Tux #1 is growing on me some).  Thanks again for the suggestions.

Very nice, and way more effort than mine. :clapping:

Thanks!

In all honesty, the real effort was to stop there and not keep trying to perfect it.  Rest assured, having the size squashed down on the forum helps the appearance a lot :) .

Now I can start worrying about a signature. :P
