Hey Bleepers. I've been encountering a very strange problem lately.

Whenever my Internet Explorer freezes (Task Manager -> Applications -> IE is "Not Responding"), I click on the "X" button on the upper right to close the unresponding window.

In the past, there would appear a message saying that "Are you sure you want to close this, because unsaved information will be lost, etc." And if I clicked "Yes, I want to close," then an Error Message would come up saying if I wanted to report this error to Microsoft.

But nowadays, when I click the "X" button on a Frozen IE Window, no messages appear! The Window is closed, and I'm just back to my background.

FYI : I've abled the "Display Error Message" on the Advanced Settings that can be accessed when you right-click on My Computer.

Also, I noticed that when I close the Frozen IE Window, the rest of the IE Windows gets closed as well.

Please help me. I know it's weird to like these annoying Error Messages, but I just don't feel comfortable when something is not right. Thank you in advance.

The service might've been disabled. Check in [Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenence -> Administrative Tools -> Services] and check to see if "Error Reporting Service" has been disabled. Also the reason why all the IE windows closes is because there is only one instance of the program, therefore if it has frozen and you end it, it closes all iexplorer.exe all together which includes all the IE windows you have open. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice LaZyFLiP07, but I checked under the "Services" and the "Error Reporting Service" is indeed active. This occurance is probably irrelevant to malware, but there must be something wrong with my computer, no?

I just added that all of the other IE Windows close as a footnote.
I think that is a normal happening.

Hmm.. I will continue to surf around the Internet for help. Thanks for your time and help!
