PLEASE REPLY ASAP! RESPONSE NEEDED TODAY!

For over a year now, I've been able to print single cartridge mode simply by not having a tri-color cartridge in the slot.

However, recently, my printer has refused to print because it's missing a tri-color ink cartridge. It won't let me print AT ALL!

What's going on?

Made sure the color choice within any particular document has been set to grey-scale or blackNwhite only?

I'm doing that! It still isn't letting me print.

Ahhh, good!  Documents sent to print are taken care of.  Do you have a separate scanner attached to either computer or printer?  If yes, ensure scanner default is set to blackNwhite or grey-scale only.

Yes it is. And I can scan just fine.

I was able to print earlier this morning. Then it stopped letting me print without a tri-color cartridge.

Just another way those stupid printers are stealing our money. So frustrating.
It was revealed that epson printers would declare the cartrige empty when it was 20% full, then some printers when out of black ink would make process black by mixing all the colors and wasting ink?! Annoying.
