Hello folks,

I downloaded a file from filehippo to my sons computer which has windows 8, which I thought was a .net framework 6.1 upgrade so I could use a particular software program.

it said it needed to reboot after install

when I did that it does not now accept the log in email password and effectively locks us out of the computer.

someone told me that it is infected by a virus and to download a program from here http://www.lazesoft.com/download.html which can crack any password and allow us to enter the pC. Then apparently it is possible to remove the virus but leave the hard disk contents in tact.  He said he was busy and I should come here for help.

I am not sure which one to download but tried the first one but when I put it on a memory stick and took it to my sons computer

the folder did not appear.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Billy
