at different times when i start my computer this annoying message pops up in a box  it opens up every 15 to 30 seconds and i have to keep closing window or it will go on forever.
the message is    F:\ the directory file name is invalid
I am computer novice. went to Microsoft support and they told me to do disk scan, tried it, but it comes back again.
any help in laymen  words would be greatly appreciated with simple instructions.
I did not try to create this, and have no clue

Although you're not reporting BSOD's, the reports will let us know enough information about your system that we may be able to locate the offending entry.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

 The fact that it's saying F: makes me think you have some device connected to your computer that it thinks is a disk or CD/DVD drive without anything in it or something invalid (like maybe a blank CD, unformatted hard drive, or flash drive) plugged into it.  If you do, either disconnect it or remove whatever is in it.  If you want to know what that F: device is, open the file manager and see.
