total defense security help cannot remove or uninstall

Hi,
 
I am running windows 8.1 and am trying to uninstall remove total defense security it is slowing down my system.
I have tried safe mode with mabm and avira with no success please help.

As Total Defense Security is a legit AV suite, the correct way to remove it would be to uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Performing it in Safe Mode is better if possible, as the antivirus' services will not be running.

If that does not work, you can try Revo Uninstaller. It will perform a more thorough uninstallation of the antivirus suite.

That link is now dead, and there seems to be no mention of a removal tool on the site anymore.
