how little will a PC scraper take.

I am looking to get ride of an acient pc, and i dont really care about getting money.

But generaly How, little component wise will they take. Will they take the empty case?

That all depends on the scrapper.  Right now metals prices are in the toilet.  Less than a $1.00 @ 100lbs.for iron clean iron.

Some scrappers will give a little for electronic circuit boards [no enclosuers] but I am not shure they even do that anymore here locally.

I was planing to take it to the township pickup, or mabye bestbuy if they still take them.

I jump my "of no use to me anymore" items at Goodwill.  There's no reason for them not to take a case...all computer parts have some recycle value (as I understand it).

I always check the communities around you for E-waste events, usually by schools.  They take just about anything with a power cord.
