I made an image of my HDD to an empty 160 GB external drive. It stated that the space used/needed was 33.08GB.

Going to the properties of the drive after, it says that used space is 16.9GB, sort of nearly half. How come?

(Also right clicking on the drive in 'This PC' to Eject it, as is usual with plugged in drives, there was no such option - is there a reason for this?)
