What are some technology trends that has affected the practice of IT security?

as the title states. For example, bring your own device has caused many companies to rethink the way they secure their network/data, as company data is stored on a personal device which is more susceptible to malware as the users get to use the device for purposes otehr than work. What are some other trends that has caused companies to change their security infrastructure?
