Sometimes when I'm browsing I loose internet access. Message is USRobotics needs to shut down because usrminka.exe needs to restart. Event viewer shows application error - usrminka.exe, version and faulting module usrv42.dll. I don't have any idea how to fix. It usually happens after I've been on internet a while. Windows XP , SP 3. Thanks once again.

The first things I'd do would be to scan for corrupt files and malware.  To scan for corrupt files, open an administrator command prompt and issue this command: sfc /scannow.  It can run for a while.  There are numerous tools for malware scanning/protection.  If you think you need help in this regard, you should post an inquiry in the "Am I infected" forum here.

 Good luck.

Make regular full system backups or you'll be sorry sooner or later.
