*SOLVED*

Got the iso from the official homepage

Then I used rufus to install it on a 32gb SanDisk

Rebooted the pc and selected the stick

Selected live from boot menu of os

It does some loading then gets stuck on a black screen with "loading please wait...." text

Any ideas what could be going wrong?

*SOLVED*

When it freezes up use "Shift & PageUp" to scroll up and post any error messages here.

(you can also take a pic of the screen and post it)

Know Tails issues with SanDisk:

Thanks but I got it working. Read about a work around that involves removing the line that makes it think the usb is removable, in this case my San Disk isn't. Got tails working, love it.

Tails is a rather interesting distro for a new user to try out, but I would not reccomend it as a install until you get into the basics with linux.

I know tails has got notoriety as the OS Snowden used but its hardly the most newb friendly

I got the general hang of it. I just use for basic broswing mostly when I don't want my activity tracked or traced.
