If I upgrade Avast program through its upgrade function, it generates a dll missing error which can only be fixed by complete uninstall, reinstall, and reConfigure from square one.

Does anyone know how to get offline installs of Avast Pro Anti-Virus?  I think if I simply install the latest greatest, my settings will be saved [I hope!] and I will avoid the dll missing error.

My Avira Anti-Virus Pro's Firewall module is uninstalled, go figure.  Does anyone know how I can reinstall just that Firewall module, or, do I need to reinstall the offline EXE?

I have three computers, each one has its own stuff.

Avira uses the Windows Firewall instead of having their own firewall tech AFAIK. The Avira Firewall module probably adds monitoring and some other odds and ends, the basic function is still the same.

Guys, thanks for posting!  Yes, I knew Avira uses Windows Firewall, Avira's firewall module was reinstalled by simply choosing Modify within Avira's modify/repair/remove menu.  Bookmarked the provided Avast offline installs, will try it and report back this weekend.

Good luck.

Luck [my software-gambling] might have played a part, got it all done.  Using Avast Pro AV full/offline install EXE did a "dirty" install, saved my settings, upgraded without getting the infamous missing m*.dll error.
