Weird is as Weird Does.  Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit, Dell Alienware.  The other day my system decided to lose the Windows .zip file association.  It's like the association for Windows Zip files are gone.  I tried re-associating the files to .zip, but the Windows Zip is gone, it's like it doesn't exist on the Windows OS.  Any ideas?

Try this fix: ZIP Fix

Save the .reg file to your desktop. Double-click it to merge it to the registry.

Restart the computer.

If the fix only opens as a text file (in Notepad), right-click the file (before opening it) and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.
