Hello,

I'm working on a new project : create different soldiers to print them in 3D.
The goal is to have fun, it will be a toy for kids. (or big kids wink.png )
I never printed anything, so I started with a new good mesh.
If I'm happy with the result, I'll do different figurines (The Vikings, The German army, The Indians, The Romans, etc.)

And here's my first model that I'll print with Shapeways, I'll maybe add one or two details (5cm of height - 1.96 inches):

292050Soldier02.jpg

Misc informations :
Software : Blender
608.866 polygons
I'll print it with Shapeways.

Thanks!

Interesting.

I recently - very recently - got interested in 3D printing mainly with a view to designing and making small components. I am at present trying to get my head around OpenSCAD. I like it it for its accuracy but let us just say it is not entirely intuitive !

Very neat. The possibilities are so vast with 3d printing, it just blows my mind! Next thing I wanna make is a custom fit PC mouse for my small hands.
