I don't know where or what forum to post this question in. I got yelled at the last place I posted, I decided to try one more time. I do not know what is wrong that is why I am asking you.

I have a Lenovo, windows 8 laptop. that's all I know.

My question is this.

When I type a paper, or post to my discussion forum, my curser jumps to different places on my paper while I am typing. So if I am in the middle of a sentence, suddenly I may be typing in the middle of another sentence I have already completed. It does this at different intervals while Im typing, and I have to go back to erase where it jumped to and then go back and type it where its supposed to be.

This can be very frustrating since I take online classes and have to type papers, and take timed typing tests.

Please don't complain about me since I don't know where exactly to post this. My computer guy moved away, and I know no one else.

Are you using your laptop's touch-pad or a USB mouse? I'm guessing that it might be your palm hitting the touch-pad that causes the random cursor movements.

Are your forearms touching the touchpad? That always gives me issues.

It looks like you already created a topic for help. Not only did you not get yelled at but you have gotten help. A moderator will likely lock this topic to prevent confusion.
