Hello.  The other day, I was using AOL Desktop 9.7 and it was fine. But the next day, I was clicking on the shortcut and it would not appear, it was as if I had never clicked on it, I waited, tried again, restarted, it would not appear. I restarted the PC, nothing.

I thought it might've been being caused by the Mc Afee security on the PC, so since it was just a trial that I'd been about to replace anyway, I replaced it with Avast which has never given me problems before. Still nothing, so I uninstalled AOL and tried to to replace it from the AOL disc.

But even with that, it says its opening, it looks fine, but when it appears it's just a blank square. It seems to be running fine in task manager but it is not visible at all. I even downloaded a fresh installer from AOL's site and the same problem.

No display or appearance settings have been changed on my PC, and it's a brand new Dell with Windows 8.

Well you can still browse online without AOL browser, if you are using AOL you can still use the internet without it.

I know AOL's browser is convenient but it is very out of date.

You know you want me baby!
