I'm looking for suggestions for a new laptop.

I need a new laptop capable of playing the latest games - but on lower settings (as I can't see well enough to take advantage of the higher settings).

It's primary use will be BSOD analysis.

I would like:
5.5 lbs or lighter
i7
12+ gB of RAM
1tB 7200 rpm HDD or 1tB SSD (i have a 1tB SSD that I can use if needed)
Touchscreen
Backlit keyboard
less than $1500
15"+ screen
HDMI plug
LAN plug
at least 2 USB 3 plugs (total of 4 USB plugs used)

A dock would be nice - as I use a regular sized keyboard and mouse along with a 32" TV for a monitor when at ho

Don't forget to add restorable backup hardware and software.

I bought mine from http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/category/notebook/ about 3 years ago. It's been a good little laptop. They have 15" in the range you're looking at. They can be customized, if you want.

Hi, I normally buy my laptop in UAE because the prices are cheaper. I found one which is quite close to your required specs: http://uae.souq.com/ae-en/lenovo-g5080-laptop-core-i7-15-6-500gb-4gb-win-10-black-eng-ar-keyboard-6553200075/u/ Feel free to browse, they got a lot to offer.

So, usasma, did you ever get your laptop?

If so, what did you decide on?

Nope, still looking.

The most likely candidate at this point is a Lenovo Y700 (with the i7) or the HP 15-an051dx (StarWars Special Edition)

I'm leaning towards the Lenovo right now.

I'd really like an Aorus X5S v5 - but will have to save up for that!

I think Lenovo may be good. I have a tablet by them, the battery lasts a looooooong time...

Save up for an Aorus X5S v5, you'll be glad you did!  I purchased a high-end Acer, and I'm glad I did  :)
