Hello, Today I turned on my PC and the login screen came up, logged in and then black screen with a cursor after a while. CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work. Can I fix this?

Thanks Aramus   :thumbup2:

I also have an Acer Aspire

First I get the boot up screen with the Acer logo

Then the Lock screen With the clock. Mine has a picture of a rock and the ocean

Then I get the Windows 10 password screen

Which screen isnt loading for you? and could you have somehow removed any of the start up images?

I get up to the Acer Logo and then the password screen, so I type my password in and then I press enter and after the loading the screen turns blank with a pointer on it

You may have infection. its hard to system to load it have a lot work to do. so you can launch explorer to help it load.

Try to run explorer by pressing

Ctrl + R

Then type in Run box:

explorer.exe

After that press Enter. this should load the system with explorer and there you can see the Desktop and taskbar.

I can't do that unfortunately. I think what happened was I had AVAST and forgot to turn off realtime protection when I installed eset security.

Hello,

If you're unable to get into Safe Mode, there are tools you can use to boot directly to a virus removal program. That would help if this is being caused by an infection. One such option is the FixMeStick.

Best,
Haruki

I think what happened was I had AVAST and forgot to turn off realtime protection when I installed ESET security.

Thanks Though.
