Hello,

I just exorcised a virus from my computer but I think it's left some damage behind.

Here are a couple of the symptoms:

1) A lot of my applications won't open. For example, Microsoft Edge, Reader, Calculator, and many others. What I get when I try to open these is the message in the attachment.

2) A lot of applications flicker. That's the application itself (on the screen) and its icon in the taskbar. In the task bar, it looks like it's closing and then opening again.

Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I'm running Windows 10.

Oh, I forgot to add one more symptom:

3) Some of the icons in the bottom right corner (see attachment) aren't always there. For example, if I have a USB stick plugged in, it will *sometimes* show the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon, but sometimes not (yes, even with the USB stick still plugged in). Or the volume control. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. Before, these icons (and others) would be more consistent--always there, or there at the appropriate times.

Yes, I'm still with you.

Sorry, been away for a while. Working on a practicum for a new job prospect.

I tried all the steps that you suggested but the problem hasn't gone away.

With MBAM, it did not give me the option to quarantine anything so I just deleted all threats it found.

MBAM gave me three logs: two scan logs and a protection log. I believe one or two of them were from when I first launched MBAM. It started a scan automatically.

Anyway, the logs are Attached.

KNCTR was installed on my computer as part of the virus but I removed it a while ago. But I guess Itibiti RTC is still installed according to FRST? It didn't show up in the installed programs.

Anyway, I ran FRST with that fixlist filing (clicking fix). Here's the log:

I have? Maybe, I don't remember. I have no idea which of those options have been tried. Do you recommend I use some?

In any case, all the symptoms are still there.

KNCTR was installed on my computer as part of the virus but I removed it a while ago. But I guess Itibiti RTC is still installed according to FRST? It didn't show up in the installed programs.

Did you try my suggested fix to remove it?

I can give you a registry fix it you need.

"Did you try my suggested fix to remove it?"

Yes, I went into programs and clicked on "uninstall". I didn't go into the tray and turn it off though. In any case, it's gone now.

"I can give you a registry fix it you need."

Yes, please.

I'm attaching the log files for the Tweaking run.
