Cinavia is a anti-piracy program which will disable the audio portion on DVDs that have been copied.

I've used DVD-Fab to backup movies that I own.  This program is one of the best out there, but it isn't impervious to this software.  To the best of my knowledge there isn't a solution to this currently.
