Hello,

I have an Asus which has been giving me fits.

This U56E-BAL7 will only run in safe mode. It's running Win 7 Home Premium, Svc pk 1, 2GB Ram with an i5-2450 CPU @ 250 GHz.

I have run all of the cleaning and security tools that I'm aware of: MBAM, CCleaner, Superantispyware, ESET and the list goes on. I have also reinstalled the operating system.

In addition, I purchased and installed a new CPU fan, and replaced thermal compound.

There is no error warning, it just shuts itself off, then reboots itself. In "Safe Mode", it runs fine.

Please help!

Thanks,

Joe

Try a clean boot:  http://www.thewindowsclub.com/what-is-clean-boot-state-in-windows

If the system runs fine with the clean boot - then try re-enabling the entries a few at a time to narrow down the cause.

You may also want to monitor the temps to see if this is an overheating problem.

Here's a free tool for that:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
