There are a few things in this article you may want to try. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Clipboard_not_working

This is some info copied from the web:
there are two possible workarounds:
1) Use keyboard shortcuts ctrl c and ctrl v to copy and paste. They will work.
2) Drag and drop the text you need copied into that WYSIWYG window.
You may also be infected with a malware called Advertisemen.

You must highlight the text you want to copy, then right click and choose copy.

Once in a while I have trouble copying and pasting (in Firefox), I just clear my cache, and it works then.

Just a thought.

I notice that you have issues other than this one that you have posted. Problems with flash player, double icons, gif animations. Do you have any symptoms of malware such as popups? The latest Java is 1.50.7. If you haven't installed the latest, it would be a good idea. Since the copy/paste issue is caused by malware, I would suggest that you scan with Ad-Aware, Ewido and an antivirus.

Enthusiast, has the right ideal.
Some pages are protected from c/p which is just
stupid but hey to each their own. Just highlight the text and right click copy/paste.
Or go up to edit and select all and then copy and paste into notepad. Take out the
text you don't need and your done.
If your keyboard is not letting you c/p it might be your shortcut keys aren't responding,
or that you need to clear the cache or something simple and it never hurts to scan
for spyware, malware but don't breed paranoia.
Some of us just mess things up by learning and it has nothing to do with anyone else.
I happen to be one of those souls that mess it up.
Seems I touch my computer and something else gets messed up...lol
