I currently work as a test technician for a company that manufactures data storage systems.  We use a diagnostic test derived from in house scripts to verify functionality. I have been doing this for 9+ years and I was wondering what IT jobs would be good to transition into considering my work experience. Please include any certifications needed for job recommendations. I am ready to do something related but different just unsure of what oppurtunities are out there.

What do you want to do?  Other than something different.  Your current work isn't going to translate into a different IT job.  But, you should be able to use the skills required in a testing environment, mainly the ability to follow (and possibly create) standard policies and procedures, to sell yourself into a new position.
