Hey! WIndows 7 will no longer load.

This morning I woke up to a neverending windows update loop.  It will attempt to load Windows 7 and then say 'Failure to Configure WIndows, Attempting to Revert Changes' and this page does not go away, even after hours.

As windows will not load, all of the fixes I've found online are useless - I have pressed F8 and then attempted to load Windows 7  in safe mode with Command Prompt but it still gets stuck at the same screen.   My guess is I will have to somehow reinstall Windows.   I tried my Windows Boot cd but it doesn't seem to be working (even when loading the dvd from BIOS) - maybe there is another way or a different boot cd I can make.

Any thoughts on what I can do? Thanks.

As an update - I found the advanced boot options screen and am now doing a system restore to a previous point - I hope this works.
