I accidentally deleted the driver for my laptop. After installing about ten different versions, it doesn't give any errors but I don't see my wifi adapter in the "Network and connections" page of the control panel. How do I fix this?

It's a HP Envy 15t. The OS is Windows 10 and the wifi card is a realtek rtl8188ee.

go to settings then to update and security then to recovery then click get started on reset this pc (don't worry) then chose "keep my personal files"

this will reinstall the os but without losing your personal files the only thing affectedare programs, you have to reinstall all programs but at the end of the day you end up with a refreshed os

I will wait till tomorrow to do the reset.
P.s. the single OS would solve many problems of cross-OS issues.

Where did you download the drivers from?

Also, there are several Envy 15t models. What series of Envy 15t is yours? The numbers will be AFTER 15t.

That has nothing to do with the issue. Please do not go off-topic.

Driver shows up in the device manager without error and the driver is most likely from HP.

Just so I get this clear....

You deleted the wifi adapter driver

despite installing many drivers, the adapter still does not 'show' in network & sharing

Your wifi still works with no errors and no other problems
