Dell laptop problem

Hi Guys,

I have a laptop Dell I-5. When I start it, it take 5-10 minutes to become in a working condition. during this time of period you do nothing to it. any suggestion.  undecided.gif

I suspect that hard drive is broken or something is wrong between hard drive and motherboard (hard drive data or power connectors have problems).

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  Clicking on this link will automatically initiate the download. 
 
When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.
 
The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.
 
 

Please download MiniToolBox to your desktop.
 
Right-click on MiniToolBox.exe and select Run as Administrator.
 
You will see an image like the one below.

Click on the following checkboxes only:
 
• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• List Minidump Files
 
Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, then copy it and paste it in your topic.

@Drillingmachine. Maybe it happen what you say but i don't think so. I checked my laptop, hard drive and connections were quite fine. Some other things like malware scan needed maybe.

Minitoolbox and speccy don't fix the problem, they just tell us more about your laptop (but nothing private) so we can properly diagnose the problem.

@dc3, I use Speccy, only one day the problem solved partially but now same problem occur as before.

We will look at the speccy report for anything that looks unusual and go from there. I suspect the hard drive is at fault but i'm not quite sure yet.

@dc3, I use Speccy, only one day the problem solved partially but now same problem occur as before.

As was previously posted, the MiniToolBox and the Speccy Snapshot only provide information.  It makes no repairs what so ever.

 

Please run both of these and post the results in your topic, I need this information in order to diagnose what is happening.  

 

Do not use a host website to post these, I will not download anything to my computer unless I know exactly what it contains.

@Captain_Chicken, I think if my hard drive is at fault then it should not work properly with other programs. Please don't create any misunderstanding about my hard drive.

@dc3, ok i run MiniToolBox and the Speccy again and try to paste the results as soon as possible.
