Well, personally i use Malwarebytes and Ccleaner and AdwCleaner to scan my PC every weekend, MalwareBytes do a data base update of 5 minutes, when the update process finishes  i close all my browsers and every thing, and disconnect my pc frome the internet and start the scan using that 3 tools .
It's so effective and i advice everyone to do this.

PS : the three tools are available for both Android and IOS Smartphones.
cheers.

I deleted the one in Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs. This is the proper forum for this topic. Please do not keep repeating this message across various subjects as replies. We get it!

You can use the report button to notify staff of action needing to be taken. The staff will review your report and act accordingly.

CCleaner is a system privacy and cleaning tool that removes unused, temporary and junk files from your system to include temporary Internet files, cookies, erases private data in browser history, etc...it is not a tool for dealing with malware.

@joseftriumf

quietman7 is not saying you did. He is clarifying for others who may read this topic. Those especially unaware of what each individual tool does. This is to avoid confusion for new members or members unfamiliar with scanning tools.

To be fair, I will say you didn't identify the tasks each tool performs in your original topic. Therefore we are doing so as staff members to educate others.

Malwarebytes is only available on Windows, Mac OS X and Android.
CCleaner is only available on Windows, Mac OS X and Android.
AdwCleaner is only available on Windows.

So no, "all three tools" aren't available for both Android and iOS phones :)

Correct. I have noted that a lot of folks are under the misconception that CCleaner helps to remove malware. I don't know where that idea came from but I have been trying to educate users especially when I see it listed with other security tools they use for malware removal.

With that said, CCleaner is a very useful tool for its intended purpose and using it before security tools can speed up the scan. However, I personally do not like it cleaning out everything on an infected system before I see more comprehensive logs created by security tools. I want to know what's inside the temp folders as that often gives a clue to what we are dealing with if malware is found hiding there and how to proceed with disinfection.
