Which boxes are safe to check on disk cleanup. I have 17.4 gb of space used up by the ( previous windows installations ) check box. Is this safe to check and delete ?

Hi ..

Personally I clean out every thing and then be sure to set a new "System Restore" point when I am finished.

You may also want a System Restore point from prior to your bad choice to use Win 10..

Win 10 will delete the files from your old OS over time. I believe that after 28 days they will be gone.

As far as the other stuff to delete, just get CCleaner. It gets rid of garbage with no repercussions.

Thanks for the info. As far as win 10 its a surface pro3 and new machines are coming preloaded with it now. After playing around with it I find it to be a pretty cool operating system accept for its nosey and intrusive set backs. The blend of win7 and win8.1 is a little overkill but its familiar to work with. My other machines have XP PRO, 7 PRO and 8.1 and I find myself liking all of them. My win7 is still my favorite.
