So I have an intermittent computer problem which is hard to repeat, so I was hoping that I'd explain what my computer is doing and hopefully it'll raise some red flags about what particular piece of hardware is having issues here.

I brought my computer to my parents house for Christmas break and as soon as I got home, the problem started. I plugged everything in, and the computer wouldn't post. I pressed the power button on the case, the fans spun up, but no display. I hard stopped it and tried again. Same story.

This happened a few times and I opened my case and moved my graphics card to a different slot to see if possibly the slot on my motherboard had gone bad and I just wasn't getting display from that. It booted this time. Curious, I moved it back to its old spot, it booted again. Thinking it had rattled out of place somehow on the way, I thought my problems were over. I put everything back together and booted into windows, no problem, even played a few games.

Two days passed and the computer still worked fine, then I woke up on Monday and started it and it wouldn't post again. Again I hard stopped it and pressed the button again, and it booted this time, no moving of graphics card required. It was a bit sluggish to boot but it did and I logged in, and about 5 minutes into loading on my desktop, I got a bluescreen: Code "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA ***STOP: 0x0000050 (0xFFFFF8A235BC8EF8, 0x000000000000000001, 0xFFFFF80003E0E627, 0x000000000000000005)"
This told me if it was the first time I'd seen it to just restart my computer and see if I got it again, so I tried again.

This time it booted normally, quickly too. Getting suspicious I began looking on the internet for what the code meant and after about an hour of searching, I decided to run Furmark to see if it was a power problem, the r9 280X by sapphire is a very power thirsty card after all. I ran the Furmark for about 10 minutes and decided to add a new level to it and opened up Prime95's blend test and immediately I got a different bluescreen : Code "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT *** STOP: 0x0000001A *0x000000000050003,0xFFFFF70001080000, 0x000000000000B45B, 0x00000000215BE049) "

I rebooted and ran Prime95's blend test and though my computer didn't bluescreen, the test immediately failed, suggesting there was a hardware problem. I thought this was a clear indication that my memory had started to fail so I got a copy of memtest86 and ran it for 36 hours, which was about 6 passes and got 0 errors. After this amount of time I began to think that it may just be a loose connection so I stopped the test, shut down, unplugged the machine, and unplugged and replugged every connection into and out of the motherboard.

That was last night. This morning I booted my computer and decided to do a timelapse video of a few hundred RAW files I took the other day, I opened up photoshop (Which has execution files on a different harddrive than the boot drive, a PNY 128 GB SSD) and started to load each of the 230 photos as layers with bridge, in the task manager I watched the memory usage rise to 70% when I suddenly got a third bluescreen: Code "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA *** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFF9600006E174, 0x00000000000000008, 0xFFFFF9600006E174,0x00000000000000000)"

So here I am today, confused as heck, just trying to figure out where to start to try to troubleshoot this issue. Could anyone lend some advice? My specs are below if they help. Thank you so much for your time in advance.

Windows 7 Ultimate Edition
Corsair TX 750 - PSU

Hi,

I would like to ask If there's 2 or more RAMs in your CPU, did you scan it individually?

You can also try to scan your HDD for bad sectors too. Using SeaTools. http://www.seagate.com/sg/en/support/downloads/seatools/

Thanks.

I did scan each individually in memtest, but only for one pass. Also I have my HDD data from S.M.A.R.T. and checkdisk here if that is sufficient:

It's kind of a mess to read, but hopefully you find it useful.
Each of the drives says that the health of the drive is good.

Sapphire r9 280X - GPU
AMD FX 6100 - CPU

Ok. I presume your memtest shows one pass without error.

============================================================================================================== -> PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service. (Corrupted windows files)

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

====================================================================================================================================

What is the conflicting process that occurs in the BSOD. You may upload your BSOD dumps if you do not know how to analyze dumps.

Did you installed any new hardwares before these BSOD occurs? You may want to try and update your hardware to see whether does solve your problems.

Thanks.

Hmm can you upload your crash dumps and give me the link so that I can analyze further?

Seems to me that you might have corrupted system files. You may boot into safe mode+networking and run cmd as administrator and use this command: sfc /scannow

If corrupted files are found, you may use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/what-is-the-system-update-readiness-tool as DISM functions are not available on Windows 7

You may check https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947821 for more details.

Thanks.

Pardon me for jumping in here - but if you'd like the memory dumps analyzed, please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum):  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/

Should you have problems with the perfmon report, please disregard it (I don't use it very much anyway).

Should the app lock up for more than 15 minutes while searching for Network information (it does this in my copy of W10), go ahead and kill the app.
Then navigate to the Documents folder and zip up the 18 reports in the SysnativeFileCollectionApp folder - then upload that with your next post.

If that doesn't work, then you can try this new app (from a friend of mine):  http://omgdebugging.com/bsod-inspector/
When done a Notepad document will open with the name of the file and it's location.
By default it'll be a .zip file located on your Desktop
Simply upload the .zip file with your next post and we'll move on from there.

I attached my Performance Monitor and Sysnative as Usasma suggested. Is this what you wanted? Also, I ran a chkdsk, is that the same thing as the sfc /scannow? Or are they separate?Attached File  PerfmonandSysnative.zip   2.33MB   2 downloads

Hi Tjcason,

chkdsk and sfc /scannow is a totally different command.

FYI - CHKDSK checks the file system that's on the hard drive (NTFS, FAT32, etc).

SFC is the System File Checker - and it checks the files (and the protection status) on your hard drive that are stored on the file system.

Unfortunately it appears that the OS installed isn't legitimate.
Please get a legitimate copy of the OS installed and we'll be glad to help.

Here's suggestions on how to ensure that your version is legitimate:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/genuine

As a courtesy to you, I will provide an initial analysis of the problem but will not answer further questions until the system has become legitimate.

Only 247 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 350 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

You have 4 hard drives.  What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

These devices have problems in Device Manager:

Programmable Root Enumerator    ROOT\PROGRAMMING_SUPPORT\0001    This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.
AODDriver4.2.0    ROOT\LEGACY_AODDRIVER4.2.0\0000    This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)    BTH\MS_BTHPAN\6&3AE699E&0&2    This device is disabled.
Bluetooth Peripheral Device    BTHENUM\{453994D5-D58B-96F9-6616-B37F586BA2EC}_VID&00010075_PID&0100\7&2626EB24&0&30D6C971E4FA_C00000000    The drivers for this device are not installed.
Bluetooth Peripheral Device    BTHENUM\{936DA01F-9ABD-4D9D-80C7-02AF85C822A8}_VID&00010075_PID&0100\7&2626EB24&0&30D6C971E4FA_C00000000    The drivers for this device are not installed.

Right click on the first 2 devices and select "Uninstall".  Then reboot and check to see if the problems are gone.

If not, I'm at a loss as to what the first device belongs to (search the web for ideas - your Saitek device is a place to start).  The second device is from the AMD video drivers.  Uninstall/reinstall them if needed to make the error go away. (see the stuff below about AMD Overdrive).

As for the BlueTooth stuff - enable it, then update their drivers, then feel free to disable it again.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center.  This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.

NOTE:  these symptoms were from the previous release of OverDrive.  The new release uses the same driver name, but is dated from 4 November 2013.

Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from http://www.amd.com (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLYhttp://www.sysnative.com/forums/showthread.php/668-ATI-video-cards-DRIVER-ONLY-installation-procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install".  Reboot for changes to take affect.

Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's.  If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Several of the errors in the WER section of MSINFO32 also point to video issues.  Please follow these troubleshooting suggestions:  http://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod-kernel-dump-analysis-debugging-information/35-video-tdr-timeout-0x116-0x117.html#post29532
Also, please monitor your temps with this free utility:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
