So for the last week my CPU (3570K) fan has been dying (only getting 200-400 RPM), my question is can i still the safely use the computer for the next or so? To help keep the temps down i've removed the side cover, put a fan blowing directly on the processor, turned up my case & gpu fans and in general i keep my room pretty cold. When under load from gaming (MGS5/StarcraftII) according to speedfan the temps stay around 42-48ish and at absolute max 56. When i'm just browsing or watching a movie the temps stay around 28-34ish.

I would just invest in a new cooler. The cooler master hyper 212 evo is only $18 and arctic silver thermal paste is around $2.

Thanks for the reply and I'm definitely going to replace the fan fairly soon, i'm just wondering is it safe to still use my pc until then.

Those temps really aren't bad. I would continue using it but monitoring temps closely.
