Lenovo X61s

Problem description: When I try to boot up the computer, it only gives me two options: run Lenovo Rescue and Recovery, or Start Windows Normally. When I try to Start Windows Normally, it BSODs and fails to boot every single time (I have tried many times) with the error code 0x000024 on a blue screen which shows for a few seconds before shuting down. I also cannot boot through Lenovo Rescue and Recovery. When i try to use the auto repair option it keeps saying that" it is unable to repair automatically, and when i Start Windows Normally, it fails and gives me a BSOD. I need to have it okay because am using it to study for an important exam.

Sounds like a problem with the hard drive.

The STOP 0x24 error (0x00000024) is an error in the NTFS file system (which resides on the hard drive).

Try these free hard drive diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html

FYI - I had an x61t that also had an early SSD.

If yours has this, then it's possible that it could be having a problem.

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

- John  (my website: http://www.carrona.org/ )**If you need a more detailed explanation, please ask for it. I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.
