Hi guys,

I'm experiencing random BSOD on my new computer and it's driving me crazy.
This is the rough timeline of events:

My friend helped build me a new custom computer (hes built a few before so I assume everything was put together correctly). Everything worked fine for approx 1 week, then I get a random BSOD - memory management error.
I ignore the issue and I get the random errors occur more frequently, finally getting into a non-stop loop of: BSOD on start-up, reset, BSOD start up, reset, etc. So I do a complete reformat and everything seems fine.

3 days later, BSOD memory management error occurs again.
I just tried installing microsoft office 2010 and halfway through I get a new BSOD error - system service exception.

I tried using the windows memory diagnostic tool to see if there's any memory errors but it doesn't completely finish. Basically it passes 2 times (with no errors cropping up), it appears to complete and the computer boots - but it never completely loads, the monitor is on but black. Thus I can never get a list of any potential errors.
The computer appears to run fine right now, but generally when I start opening more programs/installing things (I think?) the issue crops up again. I don't know what's wrong, but I'm guessing the issue is to do with memory?

this is my hardware list:
CPU - Core i5-6500 3.2Ghz 6MB LGA1151
GPU - Asus TURBO-GTX970-OC-4GD5 4G GTX 970
Motherboard - ASRock H110M-HDV Intel H110
Memory - Patriot PSD48G2133K(KIT) 8G Kit (4Gx2) DDR4 2133
PSU - Antec HCG-520M 520W High Current Gamer 'Modular'
Hard Drive - Sandisk Ultra II SDSSDHII 240G Q25 240G SATA3 SSD

I am by no means an expert, please let me know if you need any additional information. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Run a memory test from this page of mine:  http://www.carrona.org/memdiag.html

MemTest86 v5 and later are UEFI compliant - so you can boot from them on a new system.

I prefer MemTest86+ - but AFAIK, it's not UEFI compliant.

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum):  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/

Should you have problems with the perfmon report, please disregard it (I don't use it very much anyway).

Should the app lock up for more than 15 minutes while searching for Network information (it does this in my copy of W10), go ahead and kill the app.
Then navigate to the Documents folder and zip up the 18 reports in the SysnativeFileCollectionApp folder - then upload that with your next post.

If that doesn't work, then you can try this new app (from a friend of mine):  http://omgdebugging.com/bsod-inspector/
When done a Notepad document will open with the name of the file and it's location.
By default it'll be a .zip file located on your Desktop
Simply upload the .zip file with your next post and we'll move on from there.

Thanks for your response usasma.

I performed the memtest86 for 11 passes and 0 errors came up.

Also following your instructions, I've produced the 2 files but can only upload the sysnativefilecollectionapp.zip.

This forum won't let me attach the perfmon report saved as html and zipped.

Further, here is additional information about my system:

OS - windows 10, I believe it is pre-installed (I never bought anything)

age of system - brand new, just bought parts from computer wholesaler and put it together approx 2 weeks ago

age of OS installation - I have reinstalled the OS due to reformatting my computer recently

All other specs of hardware is listed in my original post.

Hope this is enough, if not please advise me  :)

Hmm, sounds like you have a faulty hardware but not exactly sure... You may want to run diagnostic test of your harddisk too.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version P1.10) dates from July of 2015.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a recent update (and is really only useful for W8 and later systems).

Only 3 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most build 10586 (TH2/1511) systems have more than this.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available Windows Updates.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen both dtsoftbus01.sys and dtscsibus.sys blamed on several occasions).

Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration):  New link (15 Aug 2012):  http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link:  http://www.disc-tools.com/download/sptd
Manual procedure here:  http://daemonpro-help.com/en/problems_and_solutions/registry_and_sptd_problems.html
NOTE:  The uninstaller may not find the SPTD.sys driver.  Don't worry about it, just let us know in your post.

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, then please run these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please start with the hard drive diagnostics as jinxiang suggested.

Out of 11 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD  (aka STOP or BugCheck) error codes.  The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things (the list is not in any sort of order):
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case.  Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html or http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html ).

Please get a head start on the hardware diagnostics - they are located here:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Alright I updated my BIOS and performed a windows update. I also uninstalled daemon tools. Hopefully this resolves everything!

Now we wait to see if the BSOD's return.

While you're waiting, please run these hardware diagnostics (just in case it's a hardware problem):  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
