Hi everyone. Fairly new laptop (less than 6 months) which recently has been crashing in a really odd way when doing playing Dota 2. No BSOD or anything, just straight shuts down. What usually happens is I start up the game, get into gameplay (past title screen loading screen etc.), get 25-30 minutes into game and it crashes.

The strange thing is this only happens under a few conditions. The battery setting has to be set to high performance and the charger has to be plugged in. The crashes never happen when the machine is running on battery alone.

laptop is a Toshiba Satellite s50t-B running windows 10

Specs

i7 4510U cpu

8GB ram

AMD Radeon R7 M260

Really appreciate any help at all. Thanks everyone.

Please monitor your system's temperatures with this free tool:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

This looks like a system that was updated to W10 from an earlier version of Windows.  If that's the case, you may encounter more problems.  We'll attempt to deal with them as they arise.

Update your BIOS/UEFI

Other suggestions:
1.  Get ALL available Windows Updates.  It may take several trips to get them all
2.  Get ALL available, compatible updates for your OS from the manufacturer's website (to include BIOS/UEFI).
3.  Start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
4.  If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

EDIT:  Many, many Bonjour errors in the Admin event log.

Please uninstall it.

If you need it, then run the Apple Software Update tool in order to download a fresh copy and install it.
